Terms of Use
Welcome to The Jungian Aion. By using this website or taking part in any of its offerings, you agree to the terms below.
About this site
The Jungian Aion is a personal platform offering videos, writing, group circles, and 1:1 sessions rooted in the tradition of Jungian and depth psychology. The site is operated from Israel by Avi Harel.
For questions about these terms, you can reach me at site@thejungianaion.com.
Nature of the work
The work offered on this site, videos, writing, circles, and 1:1 sessions, is reflective, educational, and developmental in nature. It is not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. Please read the Disclaimer section below for the full disclaimer, including crisis resources.
By taking part in any offering, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own wellbeing, and for seeking appropriate professional support where it is needed.
Use of content on this site
All written content, videos, and images on this site are © Avi Harel / The Jungian Aion unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to share links to the content and short quotes with attribution. Reproducing substantial portions, republishing, translating, or using the content commercially without written permission is not permitted.
Comments and contributions
If you leave a comment, you are responsible for what you post. I may remove comments that are abusive, off-topic, defamatory, spam, or otherwise inappropriate, at my discretion. Repeated abuse may result in being blocked from commenting.
1:1 sessions
1:1 sessions are booked individually. By booking a session you agree to the following:
- Payment is taken upfront at the time of booking, through a third-party payment processor.
- Cancellation and rescheduling: please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice can be rescheduled or refunded. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no-shows, are non-refundable, as the time was held for you.
- Suitability: I reserve the right to decline or end a working relationship if the work isn’t a good fit, and to refer you elsewhere where appropriate. In such cases, any sessions paid for and not yet held will be refunded.
- Confidentiality: the content of our sessions is treated as confidential. The exceptions are situations where I am required by law to disclose information, or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.
Group circles
Group circles run in cycles. Each cycle has its own start date, duration, and fee, which are communicated when registration opens. By signing up for a circle you agree to the following:
- Sign-up is per cycle. Participation does not auto-renew; if you wish to continue with a future cycle, you sign up again.
- Payment is taken upfront at the time of sign-up, before the cycle begins.
- Cancellation: if you cancel 24h before the cycle begins, the fee is refunded. After that, fees are non-refundable, as the group is held with a fixed number of participants in mind. Exceptions may be made in cases of serious illness or emergency, at my discretion.
- Confidentiality: what is shared in the circle stays in the circle. By joining, you agree to hold the same confidentiality for other participants that you would want held for yourself.
- Conduct: I reserve the right to remove participants from a circle if their conduct undermines the safety or integrity of the group. In such cases, refunds are at my discretion.
Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (PayPal). By paying, you also agree to their terms of service and privacy policy. I do not see or store your payment details.
All fees are stated in the relevant currency at the time of booking or sign-up. Currency conversion, exchange rate fees, and any taxes or fees charged by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Israeli law, The Jungian Aion and Avi Harel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, its content, or its offerings. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised version. For paid offerings, the terms in force at the time of your booking or sign-up apply to that booking or sign-up.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith conversation will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Israel.

For any questions about these terms, write to site@thejungianaion.com.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how thejungianaion.com (the “site”) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit or engage with its offerings.
Who I am
My name is Avi Harel, and I am the sole administrator of this website. The site is operated from Israel. For any privacy-related questions, or to exercise any of the rights described below, you can reach me at site@thejungianaion.com.
What I collect and why
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your email address (and name, if you provide it) in order to send you occasional updates. The newsletter is managed through Kit and Jetpack, who processes the data on my behalf under their own privacy terms. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to me directly.
1:1 sessions and group circles
When you book or take part in a 1:1 session, group circle, or other paid offering, I collect:
- your name and contact details (email, sometimes phone);
- any context you choose to share by email or in intake correspondence;
- payment information, which is processed by PayPal. I do not see or store your full card details; the processor handles payment under its own privacy policy.
I may keep brief private notes related to ongoing work, in the way that is normal for reflective and developmental practice. These notes are kept confidential, stored securely, and never shared with third parties except where required by law. The content of sessions and circles is treated as confidential, and group participants are asked to do the same for one another.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Analytics
The site uses Independent Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site, so I can improve it. This includes basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site.
Media
If you upload images to the site (e.g., with a comment), please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract that data.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on the site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When logged in, several cookies save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days; screen-option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
For the full breakdown of cookies used on this site, see the Cookie Policy.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with it if you have an account and are logged in to that site.
Legal basis for processing (for visitors covered by GDPR)
I process your data on the following bases:
- Consent: e.g., when you subscribe to the newsletter or opt in to comment cookies.
- Performance of a contract: when delivering a paid session or circle you have booked.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, and improving the site (e.g., spam detection, analytics).
- Legal obligation: keeping records required by Israeli tax or other law.
Who I share your data with
I do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site and its offerings, for example, the newsletter platform, payment processor, analytics tool, and hosting provider. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How long I keep your data
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Session and payment records: as long as needed for the working relationship, and afterwards for the period required by Israeli tax and record-keeping law.
- Comments: retained while the comment remains published, so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. You can request deletion at any time.
- User accounts (if any): all users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
You have the right to:
- access the personal data I hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
- withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe from the newsletter);
- object to processing or request restriction;
- receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you;
- lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, or if you are in the EU/UK, with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to site@thejungianaion.com.
This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of online transmission or storage is fully secure, but I do my best to safeguard what you share.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.
Disclaimer
The content on The Jungian Aion, videos, writing, group circles, and 1:1 sessions, is offered as reflective, educational, and developmental work in the tradition of Jungian and depth psychology. It is not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or a substitute for any of these.
Depth work can stir deep material. For most people, that’s part of why they come to it. But if you are currently in a fragile place, struggling with severe depression, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, an unmanaged trauma response, or another acute mental health condition, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional. Engaging with this kind of material at the wrong time can deepen difficulty rather than ease it.
If something I write, say, or guide you through brings up more than you can hold on your own, that’s an important signal. Please don’t ignore it. Reach out to a therapist, a doctor, or a trusted person in your life. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

About 1:1 sessions and circles
1:1 sessions and group circles are not therapy. They are an invitation into a reflective conversation with the figures, dreams, and images that come up in a person’s life, in the spirit of Jung’s own work. The work is exploratory and developmental, not clinical. I am not a licensed psychotherapist or psychiatrist, and the work I offer is not regulated as such.
By participating in any session, circle, or other offering on this site, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own wellbeing, and for seeking appropriate professional support where needed.
Content on this site
Articles, videos, and other public-facing content are intended for general reflection and education. They are not personal advice. Nothing on this site should be taken as a diagnosis or a recommendation specific to your situation.
If you have questions
You are welcome to write to me at site@thejungianaion.com if you are unsure whether this work is right for you at this time. An honest conversation up front is always better than discovering a mismatch later.
